There are still thousands of people willing to entrust one of most important transactions of their life to agents who are not qualified or experienced. But would you knowingly get into an unlicensed taxi or go to an unqualified doctor? Property buying chains failing as a result of amateur, unqualified agents representing customers causes delay, distress and unnecessary cost for surveyors and solicitors.

Operating under strict rules of conduct, NAEA member agents must meet certain standards relating to professional and ethical practice. Under the rules, agents are required to protect and promote their client's interests, while at all times acting in a fair and proper manner. If you are unfortunate enough to suffer at the hands of malpractice by an NAEA estate agent, the Association can take disciplinary action on your behalf.
